Polytherm Heating systems

Formed in 1999, Polytherm Heating systems was built on the success of the underfloor heating division of parent company Hevac Ltd., and since its formation has provided a wide range of solutions for underfloor heating in residential, commercial & industrial use.

The Polytherm system, based on state of the art German technology and backed up with the extensive experience of its employees, can be installed under almost any type of floor, including treated wood, tiles, carpet or even marble.

Because of the low energy requirements involved, Polytherm is an extremely efficient method of heating, especially when combined with condensing boilers or heat pumps, which use lower temperatures than conventional systems. Added to this is the time saving factor of using Polytherm's Polyfix pipe-in-pipe system for plumbing and radiator connections.

Apart from the aesthetic considerations of having no visible radiators to interfere with the client's design and layout preferences, Polytherm is also one of the most hygienic heating systems available, offering a complete quality system solution. Because it removes moisture from the floor area, Polytherm provides a healthier indoor climate, reducing the possibility of household mites and other allergens such as fungus spores, which thrive best in a moist environment.

For these reasons, Polytherm are confident in offering customers a comprehensive system warranty which covers not only individual components but the entire heating system. The Polytherm system has achieved numerous standards of European accreditation, leaving the customer secure in the knowledge that the Polytherm system has been tried and tested by householders and specifiers alike, making it a guarantee of quality and reliability.

Looking at some of the different types of Polytherm systems, the most successful has been the Polycomfort System. This consists of overlapping floor panels which interlock to form a completely sealed surface before final screeding, resulting in negligible heat losses.

Polydynamic is designed for new build and refurbishment projects, can be installed in a low floor build up of two inches, and can also be installed in radiant wall heating systems.

Polypanel, the latest development in the Polytherm range of products, has become one of the company's most popular brands, particularly suited to new build and refurbishment projects. This can be installed in floor joists with no additional weight, no screed and no notching. Polypanel can be applied to any floor covering with a minimal increase in floor levels, as little as 12mm in most cases.

Sometimes floorspace is at a premium, especially in areas such as swimming pool areas and sports facilities, which is where Polytherm's Wallheating range comes into its own. This system can also be used equally effectively in a residential space.

In sports areas where floor space is available, Polysport is an extremely effective method of underfloor heating, using a sprung flooring system, ensuring that athletes can compete in an environment which is not only more comfortable but also reduces the risk of strain and injuries caused by insufficient warm up before athletic activity.

For exterior use in extreme low temperatures, the Polydefrost system is ideal, an outdoor heating system which can keep yards, ramps, and pitches free from ice and frost, and is also ideal for horticultural use.

Polytherm's wide range of products ensure that whatever your requirements, with Polytherm you can have warmth wherever and whenever it's needed, secure in the knowledge that you have a heating system based on quality, reliability and efficiency.

The Polycomfort Floor Insulation Panel from Polytherm Heating Systems Ltd, was recently highly commended for Best Interior Building Product at the Plan Expo Product of the Show Awards 2002.
